For those who don't already know, "Peine de mort" have been selected for the second issue of "le Front". So now I've got ten more pages to do for january. The book will be release on april 2009, right before le Festival de bd de Québec.

So here some caracters sketches I've done for the story

I finally finished my boards for Hachette. Can't really show it to you but here's my cover (not really a spoiler here...)

We won the 4th place. Woot woot!!!
Now I got to finish the 4 other pages and place the text (writen by Gautier Langevin)

Alea Jacta Est

It's been a while since my last post. I'm actually working on a colored storyboard project who is taking me a lot of time, so I haven't much time to create some random illustration just for fun. Anyway, this is the page 6 and 7 of a sci-fi comic book projet name "Alea Jacta Est"



I haven't ad the text yet, but the story is from Gautier Langevin, a very good sci-fi/anticipation autor. It takes place in a futuristic Montreal an it's about video games, their addictivness (is that a word?) and the social problems related to those hyper realistic and violent games.


I'm gonna have to reajust the 5 firsts pages, cause they have been made a long time ago and my style have really evolved since then. (I wish my english could evolve as fast as my drawing and colorising skills :P )

Well, I've got some freetime recently, so here is some more random geek stuff I've drew. It don't took that much time and I really like the result.

The Tooth Fairy

I'm now working on converting "Joyeux Noël, salauds!" in a big serie. This is the new version of my Tooth Fairy. A little less slutty, a little more psycho, but fucked up as usual!

The old lumberjack

I'm running some test for a short comic book contest with Gautier Langevin as writer. Here's one of the caracter and a preview of the general look.

I'm now remodeling my caracters from "Joyeux Noël salauds!" to convert those 12 pages in a full complete comic book format, to present the project to a major editor this summer.

The tooth fairy is probably the caracter who have the biggest makeover off all.

Le Front #1

This is it!!! I've finished the layout of "Le Front #1" (a five short stories comic book from five different artist including myself). We are sending it to the printer today. Hell! I can't wait to have the book in my hands!


The artwork used for the cover is a paint from Dominique Desbiens, who is also a kick ass comic book artist.

Now that all the job for "Le Front" is done I'm gonna look foward to get some new illustrations and design contracts. I also have three comic book projects waiting for me on my desk.


Meanwhile, my english still really sucks!

Red bean

Lol! This is a little job for a friend of mine who's organazing "Les olympiades du goût" in primary schools. This little red bean is gonna get use for the medals,


It was pretty funny to do! Pretty interesting too, to work in an other style, with "selections" techniques.

Black and white covers

So, there are the two covers I've done for my comic book. Even if I prefer the one with the big machine gun, I'm stille hesitating between the two of them. Even if the picture is not that well draw, the second one may be more interesting in the way that he's not showing to much, he's a little bit more mysterious, he dont get right to the point and I like it.



Still have a few hours to decide...

Exterminateur

I had a little bit of free time between my last board and the corrections.

This is a DVD cover I've done for Quebec solidaire. The DVD is about the 2007 electoral campaign (mostly about the march 15th big show at Latulipe theater) and it have been directed by Santiago Bertolino ans Luciano Benvenuto from "Les lucioles".

Color test

I was just running some coloring tests. That was bugging me for a few days (I have to stop reading comic book when I'm actualy working on mine).


I'm pretty much satisfy with the result (for a 30-60 min work), but damn it's so cliché!
